As well as accompanying our customers in their growth, we want to be physically right there with them to shape and drive the market. We are therefore very pleased to announce that GEKA is opening a local entity, GEKA do Brasil LTDA, with its own sales offices and a brand new production site, during the first half of 2015 – an important economic location that is particularly critical for the cosmetics industry.

Brazil’s cosmetics market has become one of the strongest and most solid in the world. We want to be a part of this success.

That’s why, since the middle of last year, we have been relying on the competent support of Ivonne Ascher, who already successfully manages our present sales activities in the South America region, and will continue doing so for GEKA do Brasil in the future.

Furthermore, the new production site, fully equipped with injection and assembly machines, will be set up under the leadership of GEKA do Brasil’s Managing Director, Andre Araujo, in the outskirts of São Paulo, enabling us to cover local demands on the spot and ensure significantly shorter delivery times.

Recruiting talented employees, GEKA is currently building up a team of approximately 20 people to manufacture not only mascara packaging but also lip-gloss and eyeliner packs. We will also align the product portfolio with the specific requirements of the South American market so that we can optimally address local needs and those of our regional customers.

At the occasion of the first edition of MakeUp in São Paulo, GEKA presented a new collection, specifically dedicated to the South American market.

These steps are part of GEKA’s continued global strategy to serve our customers locally and throughout the world.
